PROJECT
Base Five was tasked with The Smart Lab Development Project at DUT, delivered in partnership with the MKIR project team, sponsored by merSETA was initiated to establish a world-class robotics and automation facility. The project began with an in-depth site assessment and collaborative scoping process to align with DUT’s vision for innovation and advanced skills development.
Base Five successfully delivered a state-of-the-art innovation lab to the students of DUT. The lab was thoughtfully equipped with advanced robotics, cutting-edge design technology, and curated educational resources to create an immersive, future ready learning environment. This initiative was designed to empower students with hands on experience and practical skills, ensuring they gain maximum value from the project and are better prepared for the evolving digital landscape.
The availability of the innovation lab at DUT offers students a powerful platform for hands-on learning, enabling them to engage with advanced robotics and design technology that aligns with real-world industry demands.
